Welcome young adults of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints! This blog is intended for you and all your friends! The young adult life can be an exciting time as you prepare for your future. It can also be a scary time. It is my hope that I can ease some of those fears by helping you become more prepared as you seek to ready yourself for marriage and building a family.
In 1995, President Gordon B. Hinckley (15th President and Prophet of our church) revealed a sacred document entitled, "The Family: A Proclamation to the World".
This document was sent to us by the Lord and contains eternal truths about the family and its central place in the Lord's Plan of Happiness. Using this sacred document, 8 family home evening lessons have been designed to assist you in preparing for marriage and family. Many of you are likely attending college. Some of you might be in a YSA branch or a student ward. Some of you might be living at home and working. And some of you might be preparing for or serving missions. Whatever your status in life right now, you can all prepare for the sacred roles of husband, wife, father, and mother.
